I wrote this short film earlier this year with no intention of submitting it to any film festivals, but thanks to the encouragement of some friends I decided to go for it. I’m so grateful I did, and I can’t wait to share it with you guys. Hopefully on camera, too. ♡

Faith is the foundation for everything I do. I owe this to my parents, especially my dad, as a preacher. The stories I’ve heard him tell about growing up in the 1950s American South as a black man are some of the most eye-opening and inspiring stories I’ve ever heard. In the midst of all of that his faith, and the faith of his siblings, never wavered. This is me sharing that story.
